Center Punch - single twist

This center punch is inspired by my center punch I made in 2007 and still use to this day as my main center punch.

It is made from a used industrial garage door spring that has lived out its usable life as a spring.  Now reforged into a new tool that will last more than a life-time.

It is 10 mm square high carbon spring steel and is about 15 cm long.  Features a single twist which has been squared off to provide a smooth grip. It has been heat treated the same way my center punch was.  Buffed with a wire wheel and finished with a coating of bees wax to help prevent rusting.
